Pontiac Teen Shot In The Chest
PONTIAC (WWJ) - A 17-year-old Pontiac man was rushed to the hospital after he was shot in the chest.
Neighbors heard gunshots in the area of S. Roselawn and Chandler streets around 11 p.m. Sunday.
According to a report by the Oakland County Sheriff's office, the victim was found conscious and alert with a gunshot wound to the upper right chest near his shoulder.
He told deputies he was walking home when he was shot by an unknown black male in a white t-shirt.
The victim was transported to an intensive care unit because of how close the bullet was to his lung.
Authorities are not talking about a possible motive for the shooting.
An investigation is ongoing.
The injured man's name was not released.
