'Suspicious Activity' Has Police Meeting Plane At Metro Airport
ROMULUS (WWJ) - A plane that landed at Detroit Metro Airport from Denver Sunday is currently being held at an inspection site after police assistance was requested by the pilot.
Three passengers have been detained at the airport for allegedly 'suspicious' behavior on the flight. The crew reported that two people were spending a long time inside a bathroom on the plane during the flight.
No word on what the suspicious behavior was. However, when Frontier Flight 623 landed mid-afternoon, it was accompanied by F-16 fighters.
The plane was surrounded by police as it landed.
No arrests have been made.
WWJ will have more details as they become available.
