Police: Kalamazoo Man Kills 2 Over Parking
Kalamazoo authorities say a man shot a man and woman to death because he was angry they wouldn't move their cars from in front of his house.
Fifty-six-year-old Tommy Emory was arraigned Tuesday on open murder charges in the deaths of 37-year-olds Sheron Wright of Kalamazoo and Lawanda Rogers of Toledo, Ohio.
TV station WWMT reports witnesses say Emory ordered the two victims away from his house, and shot them when they refused. The shootings happened about 4 a.m. Sunday.
A judge rejected Emory's lawyer's request for a cash bond, instead ordering the suspect jailed without bond.
Emory's preliminary examination is scheduled for August 17th.
