Police Investigate Thefts From Cars In Bloomfield Township

BLOOMFIELD TOWNSHIP (WWJ) - Police in an Oakland County community are investigation a string of thefts from unlocked vehicles.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, Bloomfield Township police spoke with a resident in the 6800 block of Whysall who told officers that, sometime in the overnight hours, an unknown person had entered the two unlocked cars in his driveway and took a bag containing $50 worth of coins.

This is the second time in three months that this resident says he's had his unlocked cars broken into during overnight hours.

Police remind citizens not to leave valuables in view in their cars and to always lock unattended vehicles — even in your own driveway.

An investigation into these crimes in ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call Bloomfield Township police at 248-433-7755.
