Michigan State Police say it is investigating a shooting on M-39 near Joy Road in Detroit Thursday night.

The highway was closed for a time, and reopened about 10:42 p.m.

It is unclear what led to the shooting and if anyone was injured. MSP did not release any additional information at this time.
