Police: Alcohol A Likely Factor In Deadly Motorcycle Crash On US 23

ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - Michigan State Police say alcohol likely played a part in a deadly motorcycle crash on US 23.

Fifty-year old Jamie Hicks of Westland died after the crash on US 23 near Washtenaw Avenue Saturday evening.

State Police say Hicks wasn't wearing a helmet when his motorcycle went into the median and flipped several times.

A passenger on the motorcycle, 47-year old Laura Hurn of Brighton, is hospitalized with serious injuries. She wasn't wearing a helmet either.
