Pistons Report: Roster

--F/C Greg Monroe, who will participate in the All-Star Rookie Challenge game this weekend, has hit a rookie wall. He is averaging 7 points and 4 rebounds in the last three games. Monroe played only two college seasons at Georgetown, and his body is still adjusting to the physical pounding of playing in the post in the NBA.

--G Tracy McGrady had a team-high 14 points against Atlanta after scoring 16 against Portland the previous night. McGrady is still having trouble knocking down his jump shots -- he has gone 16-for-42 from the field (38 percent) in the last five games, but he's drawing more contact and making more trips to the free throw line. McGrady needs nine more points to reach 18,000 for his career.

--F Charlie Villanueva has perked up somewhat offensively after a slump that began when he sprained his right ankle at New Jersey on Jan. 21. He has reached double digits in three of the last four games while shooting 40 percent on 3-point tries. His ability to stretch the defense is a crucial component in the second unit's success.

MEDICAL WATCH

--F Jonas Jerebko (partial Achilles' tear, right leg) underwent surgery on Oct. 8 after crashing to the floor while driving to the basket during the opening preseason game. He is expected to return sometime after the All-Star break.

--G Terrico White (fractured fifth metatarsal, right foot) was injured during the Pistons' preseason opener and also underwent surgery Oct. 8. He is doing basketball drills but has yet to practice with the team.

--G Richard Hamilton (groin) has not played the last five games. He is doubtful to play Wednesday against Indiana.
