Pat Caputo: This Is No Time For Wings To Get 'Gentlemanly'
The most conflicted award presented by the National Hockey League is the Lady Byng Trophy.
It seems to be a noble enough achievement: "Gentlemanly play combined with a high standard of playing ability" is something to aspire for, I suppose.
It's just when you get right down to it, "gentlemanly play" and playoff hockey fit together like Miss Manners and road rage.
