Lockdown at Oakland University partially lifted after stabbing on campus

A lockdown at Oakland University on Thursday night was partially lifted after a stabbing on campus.

According to police, the lockdown was lifted except for Van Wagoner House, a residence hall where responding officers found the victim with multiple stab wounds.

Police Chief Mark Gordon says that about 8:15 p.m., officers received calls about a fight in front of the hall. Police say the victim, who is not a student, was taken to a hospital for treatment. Gordon says witnesses reported two suspects, who are still at large as of Thursday night. 

One of the suspects was described as a Black man, wearing a black NorthFace jacket, black pants and white shoes with blue on the back of the shoes. The suspect had chin-length dreadlocks, is in his early 20s and between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, according to Gordon.

The second suspect is described as a Black man, wearing a camouflage jacket with a black hood, black pants and black shoes. The suspect is described as having short curly hair and being in his early 20s. 

Gordon says the suspects left the scene in a dark-colored SUV.
