Mutt March Raises $97,000 For MHS
GROSSE POINTE SHORES (WWJ) - More than 700 dog lovers took part in this year's version of the Michigan Humane Society's Mutt March at the Edsel and Eleanor Ford House in Grosse Pointe Shores.
More than $97,000 dollars was raised for the society. Proceeds will be used to help the Humane Society with animal adoption, veterinary care, as well as anti-cruelty and rescue work.
The Mutt March began back in 1989, and this march was the swan song for Mutt March creator Ron Blauet who is retiring after 45-years with the Humane Society.
