MSU Cuts Ties With Football Booster Club

DETROIT (WWJ) - Michigan State University has suspended all activities with a football booster club after learning the Michigan Lottery Commission is investigating the organization.

The Downtown Coaches Club is a nonprofit organization that runs raffles at the university's football games.

It's independent of the Michigan State Athletics Office.

Athletic Director Mark Hollis says he's suspended university ties to the organization and has been aware of the investigation for weeks.
