Michigan's Foreclosure Rate Is Declining
There is good news on the foreclosure front in Michigan.
According to the online tracking firm RealtyTrac, Michigan still has the seventh highest foreclosure rate in the country, but the number is steadily declining.
In November, the state logged 15-thousand, 311 foreclosure filings, and even though the state is still seventh in the dubious category, it registered one of the sharpest drops in the country. Nevada, Utah, and California top the national list, with Arizona joining Michigan as states with significant reductions.
There were over 262-thousand foreclosures across the country in November, a 21% drop and the lowest number in two years.
