Man Shot During Robbery Attempt In Driveway; 2 Suspects At Large

HARPER WOODS (WWJ) - Police in Harper Woods are looking for two suspects who shot a man during an apparent robbery attempt.

The incident happened shortly before 12 a.m. Saturday in the 20700 block of Woodside, not far from Harper Avenue and Moross Road.

According to police, the victim was in his driveway when he was approached by the two suspects, one of whom was armed with a handgun. As the suspects were attempting to rob the victim, police say two shots were fired, one of which struck the victim in the foot.

After the shooting, both suspects took off running westbound on Woodside. At the point, the suspects have been described only as black males, about 20-25 years old, wearing dark hoodies.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and is expected to recover.
