Man Claims He Was Served Fried Rat Instead Of Chicken

DETROIT (CBS Detroit) A California security guard claims he went in for some finger-licking chicken and left with a bad taste in his mouth when he was served a fried rat instead.

"It was very nasty and I spit it out," Devorise Dixon said in a radio interview.

He claims the manager apologized when he returned with his order in hand, and offered him a free meal.

Is his claim legit? It's impossible to say.

For its part, Kentucky Fried Chicken released a statement saying their chicken comes in all shapes and sizes and they "have no evidence to support this claim." The company added Dixon refuses to speak to them or provide the chicken for verification.
