Main Break In Livonia, Boil Water In Westland
LIVONIA/WESTLAND (WWJ) - A water main break in Livonia is causing headaches for some local businesses.
The break occurred Tuesday on southbound Newburgh, north of Plymouth. A couple of businesses in the area are without currently without water service.
Crews were working Thursday afternoon to remove a chunk of concrete to make the repairs.
Meantime, part of Westland remained under a boil water advisory, following several water main breaks over the weekend. The area affected is between Palmer and Glenwood roads to the north and south, and between Wildwood and Merriman roads to the east and west.
Police tell WWJ they have also been getting calls from residents outside of those boundaries. As a result, area residents who are concerned should boil their water until further notice.
Stay with WWJ for the latest.
