Macomb Kennel Club Hosts Second Annual All Breed Dog Shows

ARMADA (WWJ) - The Macomb Kennel Club will be holding its second annual All Breed Dog Shows on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26 at the Armada Fairgrounds in Armada.

An estimated 800 American Kennel Club registered purebred dog entries are expected each day, representing a majority of the breeds recognized by the AKC.

Judging of breed classes will begin in several show rings simultaneously at 9:00 am each day and continue until about 2:30 pm, culminating in re-judging the individual breed winners within the seven group divisions they represent and finally, best in show.

The seven groups represented at the show include sporting, hound, working, terrier, toy, non-sporting and herding.

There will also be obedience and rally competitions in which trained dogs perform specific exercises and tasks as directed by the judge.

This is a great opportunity for families to see their favorite breeds of dogs in action and in person. For those making a day of it, there will also be food available for purchase and a variety of booths selling canine toys, treats, beds and grooming supplies.

Admission to the show is free, although there is a $5 per car parking fee. Note: non-competition dogs are not permitted.
