He said singers auditioned in groups of 10 and decribed to WWJ's Brooke Allen what happened when they were finshed:

"I was actually just walking out because I thought she was going to say, 'nobody in here -- moved forward' and then she called my name and she asked me to stay - as well as one other person in my group and I was just shocked I couldn't believe it. I was petrified, I couldn't believe it actually," said Alexander.

So what did he sing? John Legends "So High" and says he's been preforming so long that he doesn't really get nervous anymore.

"I was just really excited and figured whatever is going to happen is going to happen - whether I got a callback or not -- I was just happy to have that experience."

Alexander's callback is on Wednesday.

If you missed the Saturday's audition, you still have a chance at making your big break — producers are accept video submissions year round.  For more information, click here.
