Local Businesses Team Up For A Veterans VIP Night Out

WARREN (WWJ) - While many Americans remember veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans Day, a few local businesses are teaming together to honor veterans this fall.

Each week during the month of November, two veterans and three of their friends will receive complimentary limo service for four hours, dinner at Chicken Shack, tickets to the Palladium Theatre in Birmingham and other great prizes.

Chicken Shack, Limo World, Rocket Enterprise, the and the Palladium Theatre are partnering together to give lucky veterans a special VIP night out.

Chicken Shack founder John Sobeck is a WWII veteran who understands the significance of our veterans.

"The sacrifice our service members have given to this country is something that should be honored more than two days a year," said Sobeck.  "We feel that this is a great way to give back to all of those who have given us so much."
To enter, people must submit in 500 words or less -  reasons why their veteran deserves a special VIP night out. Entries can be submitted via e-mail to vipvet@chickenshack.com. The deadline for entries is October 23, 2011 and winners must provide proof of service.
