Lions Could Be Blacked Out; 10,000 Tickets Remain

The Detroit Lions announced today that 10,000 tickets remain on sale for Sunday's game against the Washington Redskins at Ford Field, raising the possibility of the team's first TV blackout of the season.

The Lions have until 1 p.m. Thursday to sell out, lest the game be blacked out in the Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw/Flint and Toledo television markets. If the Lions are deemed to be close to selling out, they would get an extension until 1 p.m. Friday.

The Lions sold out each of their first two home games with the 24-hour extension, but they only had 3,500 unsold tickets the Wednesday before the Eagles game and 4,500 the Wednesday before the Rams game.
