Leyland: 'We Gotta Start Scoring Some More Runs'

Detroit may have two weeks to see whether its problem scoring runs can self-correct before the organization will have to unleash one of its prized prospects to corral some help. The offense has flopped into yet another funk, with just eight runs in five games, two of which it has won.
"We gotta start scoring some more runs," manager Jim Leyland said. "There's no question about that. Today (Sunday) we scored enough so you don't focus on it quite as much because we won the game. But you're correct: We've got to start scoring some more runs."
