Leyland On Marlins Park: 'Beautiful, But It's Too Big'
DETROIT -- Predicting how ballparks will play after just one game is always dangerous . . . and yet we always do it.
The early reviews, from afar, on Marlins Park: It's too big.
"I think it's beautiful," said Tigers manager (and one-time Marlins manager) Jim Leyland. "But it's too big. When you hit one 416 feet and a guy's camped under it like it's an infield fly, that's too big.
"It looked awful big to me."
