Learn How To Parallel Park Like A Champ

By: Sara

I can't parallel park worth a damn. I know (allegedly) my gender is stereotypically not good at this, but I REALLY have no parking skills. If it is not straightforward, I am driving away. That is why I am even more awed by the video of the new world record holder of the tightest parallel parking job. Granted, the guy was driving a Mini Cooper (and as we learned from The Italian Job, they can do some pretty sweet stunts), but he was able to park with a TOTAL of only 5.91 inches of extra space!

Now, you can't bust out this kind of move in Royal Oak on a Saturday night. You need a closed course and the ability to use the E-brake and spin in sideways. This world record has gone back and forth five times over the last two years, but the man who smashed it this time was Chinese master wheelman Han Yue. The car he drove was a special edition of the Mini Cooper called (appropriately enough) The Chinese Job.
