Update: Kid Rock Concert Tickets On Sale; 2nd Show Added

UPDATE: Due to overwhelming demand from fans, Kid Rock has added a second show at Comerica Park. The second show - scheduled for Saturday, August 13 - will follow Kid Rock's first hometown concert set for Friday, August 12.

DETROIT (WWJ) - Tickets to Kid Rock's highly-anticipated concert at Comerica Park are now on sale.

Kid Rock's hometown performance is scheduled for Friday, August 12, at 6:30 p.m. As usual, Kid Rock will be backed by his Twisted Brown Trucker Band. The show will feature special guest Sammy Hagar and the Wabos as the opening act.

The concert at Comerica Park will be part of the second leg of Kid Rock's BORN FREE tour in support of his most recent release, 'BORN FREE.' This second leg features Sheryl Crow (who makes a guest appearance on Kid Rock's current single 'Collide.' The tour kicks off July 2 in Cincinnati and will travel to amphitheaters across the country.

Tickets to the Comerica Park concert ($30, $49.50, $79.50 and $99 - six pack of party deck) are available at OlympiaEntertainment.com, Tickets.com, LiveNation.com, the Comerica Park box office and select Meijer stores. Tickets can also be charged by phone at 866-66-TIGER. VIP tickets -- that include a limited edition Kid Rock Tigers jersey -- are available as well.
