Khang's Blog: It's Spring Time Again...

Spring is almost here and that means baseball is around the corner. That also means the Detroit Tigers' pitchers and catchers have reported to Lakeland, Florida. Apparently every spring also means rave reviews about how this is going to be the year Joel Zumaya stays healthy for an entire season. It means we hear nothing but optimism surrounding his (insert injury) and that he is fully rehabbed. It means he's throwing harder than ever and that the ball just explodes off his hand. But it also means he's working on all his secondary pitches and that he doesn't plan on relying only on his fastball as much. I would love to believe him and it all sounds great but until he pitches a full season without getting hurt...it just sounds like the same old spring to me.
