Hyatt Regency Leaving Dearborn Location
DEARBORN, Mich. (WWJ) - The Hyatt Regency in Dearborn -- a familiar landmark along the Southfield Freeway and Michigan Avenue for decades --will terminate it's connection with the hotel.
Sources telling WWJ Newsradio 950 the deal has apparently been in the works for the past year, with the hotel being purchased by a group of overseas investors. The hotel's 350 employees got word at a staff meeting on Friday.
The hotel is currently managed by a holding company in Southfield. Built in 1976, the familiar landmark has over 700 rooms. No word yet on what the future holds for the hotel or its workers.
