How Low Will They Go? Sharp Decline In Gas Prices For Michigan Drivers

DETROIT (WWJ) - Lower driving demand and greater supplies have been driving down the price at the pump across metro Detroit, averaging $2.12 across Michigan, but also being found well under $2 a gallon.

After hearing about it on WWJ, Dale Holliday pulled off the freeway to fill up on the cheap for a
$1.75 a gallon at Plymouth and Greenfield in Detroit. As a self-employed truck driver, he appreciates the savings -- says it's like found money.

"Some weeks I wake up and I can make some money and other weeks I wake up and just the price of fuel go up 20 cents or 10 cents a gallon and I lose money," said Holliday.

It's the second week in a row that the statewide average decreased. [FUELGAUGEREPORT]

Average prices are almost 20 cents cheaper in Michigan compared to this time last year.
