House Fire In Ecorse Kills Elderly Woman
ECORSE (WWJ) - An Ecorse woman is killed in a fire at her home.
Ecorse officials say the fire started in the second story bedroom of the home on 16th Street and Outer Drive, near Fort Street.
Crews were able to contain the flames and stop it from spreading beyond the second floor but the fire claimed the life of 75-year-old Sylvia Brown, who was inside.
It's not clear if anyone else was in the home at the time of the fire.
Officials are investigating the cause.
