GM Partner Brings 200 New Jobs To Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Two hundred new jobs are coming to Detroit thanks to a new partnership with General Motors - and they're hiring.
Carat, the media-buying company for GM, is opening an office at One Detroit Center.
GM spokesman Tom Henderson said the European company is looking to hire people in several fields.
"You have people who are strategists, people who are buyers and executives," Henderson told WWJ Newsradio 950. "They're looking for people who have backgrounds in analytics, digital, search engine optimization, copywriters and account managers. So it's a diverse landscape of jobs they're offering."
Henderson said those hired would help with all of GM's marketing.
"They're recruiting right now and they hope to be complete in their transition, probably in the next month or two months. They'd like to have everything set to go for us by the end of April, early May," he said.
