Auto's Back In The Superbowl: Chrysler Teams With Eminem

Hoping to make a big splash in the Super Bowl, Chrysler is going to run a two minute ad in the third quarter, featuring Detroit rapper Eminem.

Chrysler giving no specfics of the ad, and not confirming Eminem's appearance.  WWJ has been told by other sources that he will be in the ad.

At the recent North American International Auto Show, Chrysler Brand CEO Olivia Francious made several references to Eminim.  Chrysler has used controversial music acts before, including an ad featuring both rapper Snoop Dog, and retired Chrysler Chairman Lee Iacocca.

Chrysler has not given us any advance copies of its ads...but other companies have..

General Motors planning to run five ads.  They released one earlier in the week, and the rest today.

The following GM ad will run if there's overtime.

GM planning to wrap this all up with a longer form Chevy commercial that will air during the  "Glee" episode following the Super Bowl.  All GM will say is the classic song "See the U.S.A. in your Chevrolet" plays a key role in the plot of the commercial.

GM says the ads will just be the start of a series of Chevrolet promotions that will run through the spring.

Volkswagen also releasing copies of two if it's Super Bowl Ads.

This video has a Star Wars theme, and also promotes the new Passat, which will be built at the Chatanooga, TN plant that Volkswagen is about to open.

The other ad plays on a well known Volkswagen vehicle.

The new Beetle, which returned in the nineties, is set to get a full update this year.

Volkswagen's luxury brand Audi promises to be the first company to incorporate Twitter into a Super Bowl ad.  They didn't provide an advance copy, but say the ad will follow two fugitives who are breaking out of a luxury prison.  The company says the ad will highlight the new Audi A8 sedan.

Suzuki is also coming to the Super Bowl for the first time.

Mercedes, Hyundai and Kia also planning Super Bowl ads.

Ford will feature its ads on before the Super Bowl on the pre-kick show.  It will highlight the new Ford Focus, directing people to a web site for "Focus Rally America", a web based reality show, featuring the Focus.
