GLITR, WWJ Readers Come Through For Area Families

Congratulations, GLITR readers.

Your help is helping bring 4,000 struggling metro Detroit families a substantially merrier Christmas.

We heard from our friends at Volunteers of America Wednesday morning, and they told us that as of that time, 3,925 families had been adopted under VOA's "Adopt A Family" program, so reaching the organization's goal of 4,000 families helped was certain to be reached.

President and CEO Alex Brodrick's e-mail said the ads and mentions in GLITR and WWJ Newsradio 950 "made a real difference ...  We are very blessed to partner with you."
