Gay Date Turns Into Robbery
Two men accused of beating a Ferndale man in a gay-date-turned-robbery are due back in court today for a continuation of their preliminary exam.
Police say 27-year-old Charles Campbell of Detroit met the victim through an Internet dating service. Campbell allegedly showed up at the victim's house in March with another man, who was wearing a woman's wig and sunglasses. Police say the two men tied up the victim and then robbed him.
