First Degree Murder Charge In Beating Death Of 20-Year-Old Daughter
OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - An Oxford man is competent to go on trial in the baseball bat beating death of his daughter.
Oakland County District Court Judge Lisa Asadoorian making that ruling in the case of 52-year-old Robert Kelly, who us now charged with first degree murder, after the death of his 20-year-old daughter, Megan, on Wednesday. Megan died a few days after she was taken off life support.
Roberts allegedly beat his daughter as she slept in a bedroom of his home in May.
He is being held in the Oakland County Jail without bond.
