1 dead after multi-vehicle crash at top of bridge along I-75 in Detroit, Michigan State Police say

A female is dead after a crash that involved multiple vehicles at the top of a bridge along Interstate 75 on Detroit's west side early Saturday.

According to the Michigan State Police, troopers responded to the incident at the Rouge Bridge, between Dearborn Street and Schaefer Highway, around 2:37 a.m. They found the female, whose age has yet to be disclosed, in the roadway. Other details surrounding the crash weren't immediately known.

The interstate was closed in the area of the crash on Saturday morning while officials investigated, but has since reopened.  

As of Saturday evening, the investigation is ongoing.
