Detroit To Host Property Tax Assistance Fair For Homeowners

DETROIT (AP) — A program is scheduled to help Detroit homeowners avoid tax foreclosure.

A free, property tax assistance fair will be held Saturday at the Wayne County Community College District Northwest Campus.

Representatives from the city's Treasury and Assessors departments will be available to discuss programs that could help eligible homeowners reduce some portion of their annual property taxes.

Wayne County officials and representatives from foreclosure prevention groups also will be on-hand.
