Southeast Michigan school closings and delays for Feb. 13
(CBS DETROIT) — Southeast Michigan's first big winter storm of the season resulted in dozens of area schools, including Detroit Public Schools, issuing closing notices for Thursday, Feb. 13, 2025.
Some colleges in Metro Detroit have also closed their campuses or shifted to online learning for Thursday.

Snow began falling Wednesday afternoon and will linger into Thursday morning. Once the storm is done, most of Southeast Michigan will see a total of 4 to 8 inches of snow, with some areas potentially seeing upwards of nine inches of snow, is done. Ice also was mixed in for some areas.
Once this storm is done, Metro Detroit's next snowfall is expected Saturday.
