(CBS DETROIT) - A 9-year-old boy who was found wandering in Detroit on Tuesday has been reunited with his family, police said.

At about 8:30 p.m. on March 26, authorities were called to a gas station in the area of Mt. Elliot and E. Grand Boulevard for a child who was lost. The child was taken to DPD's Seventh Precinct.

The boy told officers his name was Jayden Brown and "walked away from an unknown steakhouse somewhere on the east side at approximately 3 p.m.," according to police.

Jayden was described as being 4 feet 8 inches tall and about 60 pounds.

"The child has been reunited with family," said Detroit police. "This matter is under investigation. We appreciate everyone's assistance."
