Detroit Pistons News And Notes

--Miami became the first Eastern Conference team and ninth overall to sweep the season series against the Pistons this season. The Heat, who hadn't swept the Pistons since the 2000-01 season, won four games by an average of 11.5 points. Western Conference opponents Denver, Houston, the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis, Minnesota, Oklahoma City, Portland and San Antonio won two-game series. The only club the Pistons have swept is Sacramento, also in a two-game series, but they can win all four games against Cleveland with victories Friday and on April 11.

--The Pistons are averaging 26.4 assists over the last nine games, lifting their season average to 20.9. They had 28 assists against Miami Wednesday and a season-high 33 against Toronto March 16. Rodney Stuckey is leading the way during this stretch, averaging 6.7 assists per game.
