"Chill At The Joe" For First Step Benefit
DETROIT (WWJ) - Officers from various Detroit-area police departments are set to play an hour-long charity hockey game at Joe Louis Arena this afternoon against a team made up of Red Wings alumni.
Among the ex-Wings scheduled to play are Mickey Redmond and Petr Klima.
The game is part of a larger event called "Chill at the Joe" that's designed to raise money for First Step, which helps women and families overcome domestic violence and sexual abuse.
After the game wraps up, there will be an open skate and tours of the Red Wings' locker room.
Tickets are $20, and admission includes the charity game, open skate, locker room tours, all-you-can-eat food stations and other activities.
