Missing Boy Found In Mt. Clemens

MOUNT CLEMENS (WWJ) - The Macomb County Sheriff's Department said a boy reported missing Wednesday has been found.

The 11-year old boy was found alive and safe, just hours after he was reported missing near Mt. Clemens Regional Hospital.

Macomb County Sheriff said the boy wandered away from his grandma who was at the Mt. Clemens General Hospital about 6:35 Wednesday morning for a procedure.

Family members were extremely worried because the boy has the mental capacity of a four- or five-year-old.

The child's Grandma called police and hospital security when she noticed he was missing.

The little boy was spotted on surveillance video walking westbound on Harrington.

He was found by police about one mile and a half away from the hospital.

The boy is now in the custody of his Grandma and is doing fine.
