Best Restaurants To Reserve Your Easter Brunch In Metro Detroit

Easter will be upon us in about a month, and it's time to start thinking about where you want to go for brunch, as reservations will be a must. Check this list for the best restaurants that serve Easter brunch in Detroit and the metro area.
Cafe Muse
418 S. Washington Ave.
Royal Oak, MI 48067
(248) 544-4749

Cafe Muse was named "Best Brunch" and also "Best Bloody Mary" by Real Detroit Weekly in 2014, and its grilled cheese sandwiches are Oprah Show-approved - what more can you ask for? If you're in the mood for something sweet this Easter, try its stuffed French toast with mascarpone and a five-spice pear nage, or its orange rum raisin pancakes. If you're in the mood for something more savory, try the exotic mushroom scramble (with boursin cheese and truffle oil) or the steak and eggs (Cotswold cheese scrambled eggs, with grilled hangar steak). Cafe Muse is located in downtown Royal Oak, and metered parking as well as parking structures can be found nearby.

Wilshire Seafood Grille
911 Wilshire Drive
Troy, MI 48084
(248) 362-2700

The Wilshire Seafood Grille (formerly named Kruse & Muer) offers a buffet-style brunch every Sunday (10 a.m. to 2 p.m.). The brunch buffet includes favorites such as scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, and breakfast stacks with Canadian bacon. It also offers a carved roast sirloin, specialty pasta and a fresh fish selection, as well as made-to-order omelets, shrimp cocktail, marinated roasted vegetables, salads and house-baked desserts. There may be a special Easter menu; if so, it will be announced sometime during March 2015. Wilshire Seafood Grille's regular dinner menu is offered immediately after brunch ends (at 2 p.m.) as well.

Dime Store
719 Griswold St., Suite 180
Detroit, MI 48226
(313) 962-9106

Dime Store is the newest brunch place on this list, as it opened in 2014. Its breakfast/brunch menu is served all day on weekends (Easter Sunday) and until 11 a.m. on weekdays, and is sure to please even the pickiest eater. Try any of the three varieties of hash (diced potatoes with two fried eggs and an English muffin) - sausage, duck bop, veggie - or perhaps the "Bennys" (egg benedict on English muffin, with a side salad). For those who like a sweet brunch treat, try the waffles (Belgian) or the brioche French toast, served with real maple syrup. Breakfast sandwiches are also offered, if you're in the mood to combine breakfast and lunch.

La Dolce Vita
17546 Woodward Ave.
Detroit, MI 48203
(313) 865-0331

Not to be confused with the Ann Arbor dessert restaurant, Detroit's La Dolce Vita serves up brunch, lunch and dinner menus, and it actually has a brunch banquet menu as well. Brunch is served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and ranges from $9.95 to $13.95, with sides a la carte. Try the LDV Platter (two eggs, roasted potatoes, sausage links, bacon), or perhaps the Eggs Sardou (toasted English muffins, poached eggs, artichoke hearts, smoked salmon, served with Hollandaise sauce plus roasted potatoes). If your party has 10 people or more, reservations must be made by calling the restaurant, rather than reserving online.

Addison Eatery
3111 Woodward Ave.
Detroit, MI 48301
(313) 832-3111

Addison Eatery has a drool-worthy breakfast/brunch menu, and would be perfect for Easter brunch; it opens at 8 a.m. every day. It's located in Detroit's Brush Park district, in the Addison Building, which was built in 1905. Try the bourbon apple French toast (braised bourbon apple sauce, fresh whipped cream), or perhaps the sweet potato pancakes (with apple cinnamon butter and maple syrup). If you're more of a carnivore, its menu also features chicken and waffles (Belgian waffle, fried + marinated chicken wings), corned beef and hash, and steak and eggs (7 oz. steak, blue cheese and parmesan herb pommes frites, sunny-side eggs), among other choices.
