Authorities: Washington Man Dies While Diving At Great Lakes Shipwreck
PRESQUE ISLE TOWNSHIP (AP) - Authorities say a 47-year-old Washington man has died while diving in Lake Huron off of Michigan's northern Lower Peninsula.
The Presque Isle County sheriff's department says Erik Foreman of Shoreline, Washington, was diving at a shipwreck with a group on Monday east of the Presque Isle Harbor and was heading to the surface when his fellow divers noticed he was in trouble.
The wreck is in about 300 feet of water. The department says other divers tried to help, but they couldn't. An autopsy will determine cause of death.
