Authorities: 35-Year-Old Jogger Fatally Struck By Pickup

TALLMADGE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 35-year-old jogger has been fatally struck by a pickup truck in western Michigan.

The Ottawa County sheriff's department says Rebecca Talsma died after being hit Sunday night in Tallmadge Township.

Investigators say the truck driven by a 16-year-old boy struck her while trying to pass another vehicle.
WOOD-TV reports the driver said he didn't see the jogger because of glare from the sun. The crash is under investigation by the sheriff's department.
