At Least 71 Months For Mid-Michigan Woman In Fatal Crash

REED CITY, Mich. (AP) -- A 23-year-old Michigan woman has been sentenced for her involvement in a car crash that killed a teenager more than a year ago.

Audreyonna Humphries of Marion was sentenced Friday to at least 71 months in prison. WGTU-TV reports she pleaded no contest to leaving the scene of an accident when at fault, resulting in death.

Humphries was originally charged with four felony counts, including manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident, in the death of 13-year-old Jasmine Rogers. The crash happened in October 2013 in Marion Township while Rogers was on her way to a homecoming football game. Another 13-year-old girl was critically injured and a 12-year-old girl received non-life threatening injuries.

Humphries could spend up to 15 years in prison.
