Ann Arbor Launches Water Resources Web Site

ANN ARBOR -- The city of Ann Arbor recently launched a new data and information Web site for water resources within the City of Ann Arbor.

The new site will serve as the primary resource for residents to obtain public knowledge data for water resources within the City of Ann Arbor.

One highlight of the data and information site is an interactive Rain Gauges page for the City's three rain gauges.

The City operates and maintains three tipping bucket rain gauges located at Barton Dam, South Industrial Hwy, and Jackson Ave. and Parklake Ave. This page allows residents to gather rain data for any of the three rain gauges at 15-minute and daily intervals.  The page also has graphing and exporting capabilities.

Another feature of the Data and Information site is the U.S. Geological Survey stream data. The Stream Gauges page includes a map of the four USGS stream gauges located in Ann Arbor, as well as links to the USGS for each gauge.  The USGS maintains detailed records of information including discharge, gauge height, temperature, oxygen, pH, conductivity, and turbidity.
