90-Year-Old Pedestrian Killed, Struck By Pickup Truck
WARREN (WWJ) - A 90-year-old Berkley man was killed when he was struck by a vehicle backing out of a driveway.
It happened late Friday morning on Claeys Street, near Masonic, just east of Hoover, in Warren.
According to police, a Warren resident driving a Dodge pickup truck did not see the elderly victim.
No drugs or alcohol were involved, police said, and the death appears to be simply a tragic accident.
An investigation continues.
The victim's name was not immediately released.
