2 Charged In Attack On Woman At Great Lakes Crossing Mall

OAKLAND COUNTY (WWJ) - Two Mt. Morris Township men were arraigned in an Oakland County courtroom for an attack on a woman at Great Lakes Crossing Outlet Mall.

A 47-year-old woman told police she was attacked by two men as she walked to her car in the mall parking lot.

Edellis Alexander and Isaiah Herron, both 20 years old, were in court Sunday arraigned on charges including armed robbery, car jacking, and attempted unlawful imprisonment.

The Lake Orion woman said one of the men put a gun to her back and told her to get in her car. The woman fell to the ground and began screaming.

That's when authorities say an 18-year-old bystander intervened — telling the men she had police on the phone. While the would-be carjackers were distracted, the woman escaped.

The victim was treated for minor injuries.

Bond was set at $1 million each for Alexander and Herron, who are housed at the Oakland County Jail.
