Xcel Makes Request To Lower Rates
DENVER (CBS4) - Xcel Energy is asking the state to allow it to lower rates for electricity starting next month.
Xcel is requesting a 10 percent cut in residential electric bills because of the end of summertime tiered rates and an expected decrease in future fuel and energy costs.
Business customers would see a two percent drop.
Xcel is also asking for a one percent cut in natural gas prices starting next month.
