Woodland Park Mayor Accused Of Sexual Assault On A Child

WOODLAND PARK, Colo. (CBS4) - Police in Woodland Park, west of Colorado Springs, took their own mayor into custody Friday morning.

Mayor David J. Turley is facing charges for sexual assault on a child by someone in a position of trust.

Turley was arrested and has since bonded out.

Woodland Park and Colorado Springs police investigated the incident.

Police claim there is only one victim.

Turley was elected mayor in April 2012. He ran unopposed.
