Woman's Body Found Near Brush Fire In Jefferson County
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A woman is dead after firefighters discovered her body near a brush fire in Jefferson County early Monday morning. Her death is being investigated as a homicide.
Someone called about a fire at Nile Street and Colfax Avenue in Golden Monday morning about 1:45 a.m. That's just west of where Colfax crosses under Interstate 70.
Firefighters say they found a small brush fire burning close to a dumpster. That's when they discovered the woman's body.
She hasn't been identified and her age hasn't been released.
