Woman Charged In Sex Assault On Family Member

DENVER (CBS4)- A woman accused of holding down a family member while her boyfriend sexually assaulted the victim has been formally charged.

Celia Montoya has been charged with sexual assault on a child and child abuse.

The charges allege that Montoya, 23, physically restrained a 10-year-old girl as Montoya's boyfriend sexually assaulted her last year.

Montoya's boyfriend, Eugene Fernandez, was charged with aggravated sexual assault on a child.

Both Montoya and Fernandez were formally charged last week and remain in custody.

Montoya's bond is set at $200,000 and bond for Fernandez is set at $100,000. They are scheduled to appear in Denver County Court for a preliminary hearing in September.
